About Michigumbo blog

This blog was originally about Cajun and Zydeco music and dancing, particularly around SE Michigan. Now, I have added other topics, such as role-playing games.

Spotted this site and love it ! I am in Ohio, but only a few miles from the Border in Toledo – a veteran of Polka bands in the 70s , punk bands in the 80s, and Rockabilly 90s – love and play all kinds of Real Music and just bought aCajun accordion , cant wait to learn to play it and find some cajun jams ! Hello 1986!

A friend of mine saw your post at Guild of Blades and wondered if you were the guys I used to race with at the Michigan Gaming (or Garmers – I forget which) club in Ferndale back in the late 80’s.

    Turns out you are!

I used to be on team Leiger (or Leigee?…) with Richard Samul way back when.

I gonna try and make one of the races at RIW or Flintcon, it’d be great to reconnect.

    Take care,

    Mike
