While talking with some other local boardgamers in the Detroit, Michigan, area, it turns out that some of them used to play the Traveller role-playing game. Traveller, if you don't know, was billed as "Science-Fiction Adventure in the Far Future." It was originally published in 1977, right after the first of the Star Wars movies, when science-fiction was a popular topic. I did play Traveller in the early 1980s, but (like Dungeons & Dragons) I drifted away from it when I went to college. So now, after speaking with some local gaming folks, I have decided to start a new campaign of Traveller. Maybe even two campaigns, if enough folks are interested.
